Thanks!

This striking pair of original 1960’s American mid-century modern studio paintings features a beautifully mirrored, symmetrical diptych composition of facing angels, meticulously hand-rendered directly onto elongated, vertical wood panels. Showcasing strong modernist, expressionist, and Brutalist influences of the era, the artwork utilizes a distinctive mixed media approach that masterfully blends structural black charcoal or grease pencil linework with dramatic, matte acrylic white highlights. This technique leverages the rich, organic wood grain of the underlying panels to create a profound sense of deep visual texture, rustic warmth, and high-contrast dimensional depth. Each matching panel depicts a stylized, robed angel in sharp profile looking downward with an aura of serene, prayerful contemplation, accented by a radiant eight-point celestial star shining brilliantly overhead and a small, delicate dove in flight near the bottom corner. Signed "Stone" by the independent American artist in the lower corner of each piece, these unique hand-finished works remain safely housed in their original vintage wood frames, which are elegantly accented by textured linen canvas border mats that perfectly capture the retro studio-art aesthetic of the 1960s. This captivating religious set offers an exceptional blend of sacred mid-century iconography and authentic period style, making it a stellar focal piece for any modernist interior decor, retro gallery wall, or vintage fine art collection.

♦️$20.00 flat rate shipping to all of the United States (Combined, international, and freight shipping as well as local pickup available upon request!)

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0613/4310/5179/files/798DCD04-3C97-4429-ADD1-40F6F9F237F2.jpg?v=1792419825
https://www.smokinfinds.com/products/pair-of-vintage-1960-s-american-mid-century-modern-angel-acrylic-paint-pencil-mixed-media-framed-art-on-wood-panels-signed-stone
