This authentic antique U.S. Army Infantry officer’s collar insignia pin dates to the Spanish-American War to Pre-WWI era (circa 1898–1910). Crafted in gold-tone brass, the badge features Model 1875 crossed Springfield rifles designated specifically for Company H of the 2nd Infantry Regiment, with the regimental "2" positioned above the rifles and the company "H" anchored below. The reverse side features period-correct mounting hardware, retaining its original long bar pin with an early un-locking C-clasp fastener. The front display face remains in good vintage condition with age-appropriate patina and surface wear consistent with historical military service. This original piece of turn-of-the-century American military insignia serves as an outstanding addition for collectors of early U.S. Army uniforms, Spanish-American War relics, or regiment-specific militaria displays.
