This authentic 1920’s American cast iron still bank showcases the iconic bison design manufactured by the renowned A.C. Williams Company of Ravenna, Ohio, during the golden age of American cast iron toy manufacturing. Cast in the highly desirable large-scale mold variant, this piece displays remarkable sculptural depth and character, featuring a dense, deeply textured fur mantle across the hump, expressive facial detailing, a lowered head posture, and prominently curved horns. Built using traditional early 20th century two-part split-mold foundry techniques, the casting exhibits exceptionally tight, crisp seam joinery along the spine and snout, complete with a clean top coin slot and a period-correct, flush counter-sunk flathead screw along the flank. The bank retains its smooth, dark charcoal cast iron finish with honest, natural high-point patina along the elevated surfaces, offering outstanding visual appeal and historical integrity for serious collectors of antique still banks, early American ironware, and Western folk art.
