This antique 1940’s American ceramic figurine titled "Quadrille" was produced by the famed Goldscheider-Everlast Corporation in the United States and designed by renowned artist P. Porcher (Peggy Porcher). Depicting a grand, romantic Southern belle or Victorian court lady frozen in a graceful stance, she is dressed in an elaborate, multi-tiered pink ruffled crinoline gown decorated with delicate hand-painted rose garlands along the folds, complementarily accented by a small handheld fan in one hand and a matching floral spray held near her face. Crafted with fine glazed pottery construction, soft porcelain-style enameling, and intricate dimensional molding throughout her hairpiece and layered skirt, the underside preserves authentic manufacturer markings including the stamped script title "Quadrille by P. Porcheu," the official Goldscheider USA seal, and the incised factory model number 1160, making this classic mid-century American ceramic figure an essential acquisition for enthusiasts of vintage Goldscheider pottery, Victorian fashion figurines, and historic 1940’s decorative pottery art.
