Dating to the early 20th century, this antique Bavarian porcelain decorative plate features the "Marseille" blank pattern produced by Z. S. & Co. (Zeh, Scherzer & Co. of Rehau, Bavaria). The front showcases a magnificent, hand-painted style transfer-litho botanical arrangement of fresh peaches, ripe raspberries, and delicate blossoms, set against an artful background with rich earth-tone brown and soft sage green gradients. The heavy-molded rim boasts ornate scrolled relief and scalloped contours characteristic of fine Victorian and Edwardian porcelain. The reverse bears the crisp green maker's mark reading "MARSEILLE / Z. S. & Co. / BAVARIA" along with a mounted wire hanger. Measuring as a stunning display piece, this charming antique plate is in wonderful overall condition and makes a gorgeous addition to any collection of fine European porcelain, botanical art, or vintage kitchen/dining decor.
