Up for sale is a Late 19th Century Bohemian Victorian Moser Style Opaline Blue Glass Gilded Hand-Painted Butterfly Motif Acorn Shaped Bud Vase! It probably once sat in some sort of stand. Please message us if you have any questions. Thanks!
Crafted in Europe during the late 19th century, this Victorian Bohemian opaline art glass piece features a striking pale blue hue adorned with exquisitely hand-painted polychrome enamel butterflies and fine gold leaf foliage accents. A raised white-beaded enamel rim with delicate orange dots encircles the upper shoulder above the distinctive tapered, acorn-form body. Designed with a smooth, rounded base rather than a flat foot, this vessel was originally crafted to rest inside an ornamental gilt-bronze or silver-plated metal stand, a wall pocket frame, or an elaborate centerpiece epergne assembly. The rim features a softly flared neck designed to accommodate small floral arrangements or serve purely as a decorative highlight. An extraordinary example of late Victorian Bohemian art glass craftsmanship, this piece makes a standout addition for collectors of antique Bohemian glass, Moser-style enamelware, or period decorative display objects.
