This 1999 solid pewter casting by famed sculptor Michael Ricker depicts a young girl dressed in full Statue of Liberty regalia, carrying on the detailed figural storytelling and nostalgic Americana art style for which the Louisiana-born artist became famous nationwide. The piece captures remarkable three-dimensional detail throughout, from the draped folds and natural flowing weight of her long robe to the pointed peaks of her spiked crown and textured curls. In her right arm, she holds the iconic torch high overhead, while cradling a tablet inscribed with "I LOVE YOU" across the front face, complemented by a small, dimensional teddy bear sitting upright right at her feet. Cast in heavyweight fine pewter, the sculpted base features prominent artist markings along the lower rear fold, clearly bearing the inscribed signature and copyright date "© RICKER 1999", alongside the original factory-stamped number 18079 pressed directly into the metal on the underside.
